E, there are no "reliable" seeds this time of year. Seeds may or may not be viable this time of year depending on storage. Trident seeds aren't "ripe" this time of year, usually fall. If you want "fresh" seed wait a couple of months. Stratifying is straightforward then for spring germinating.

Thank you. not planning on to buy now maybe sometime in November. Stratify in Freezer So by this coming spring they would be ready to germinate.

Is seed only good for one year? I still have three hundred seeds from those I planted in 2012 and wonder if they are good. Sealed up in bags in the house in a glass case. I'm gonna plant them in Spring and see if they do any thing. I've heard of seed found in the middle east 2000 years ago still sprout???

Al, you are correct. It is possible to germinate seeds older than one year and that is why I said it depends on storage. For, I assume, a beginner, the best chance to be successful is with fresh seed and now is not the time. Beginners don't "usually" have the requisite skills to germinate older seed.

Thank you all for your recommendations. Lots of you. Recommend Treseeds. & Sheffield. Both have good reviews. I’ll be trying one of the two sites.I’ll be ordering some time November thank you all for your help.
