I just received my very first ever bonsai. It's a Gardenia Bonsai. I have been caring for it just as the directions that came with it said to do, but it seems that I'm still clueless! Any one want to give me some starter advice, links to where I can learn more, or any knowledge about this plant at all? I don't really know much about what I'm doing and really want to learn and manage to keep my plant happy and healthy!! Thanks to all!!!

More adivce could be given if you could post a photo of the tree. In general it's important to remember that bonsai is an outside sport. The tree can be enjoyed indoors for an evening but it should be grown outdoors. Also the type of soil that it is grown in is important. Since the pot is a small growing area, the soil needs to be able to drain well.Hope you have many hours of enjoyment with your bonsai.
