Seedling
Hello all I have visited this site many times but just recently joined. I collected this olive from a very old orchard that had been completely cut down to stumps. Olives being very resilient many of the stumps are still alive, every summer for the past fifty years or more the city comes through and whacks everything down with a flail mower which resulted in the hacked off cut and split down the middle of the trunk. This small tree has been in a pot for about two years. After collection I was able to screw the trunk back together and seems to have healed but the large wound has shown no sign of healing growth. I'm thinking that I may need to remove some of the scar to reveal live wood and reseal the area. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
