Desert O'Piñon
Omono
This was collected April 11 after a rain a couple days prior.

This is signs of new life today.

I love this desert native. It is to me, the essence of a fresh, cleansing rain that washes the dust from the parched, tired desert, waking up the life that had been dormant in wait of a cool, quenching drink. The aroma is as if God himself decided to bottle the perfume of rain. And the small, brilliant yellow blossoms put on a display most of the summer, provided enough precipitation.
This one lost most of its foliage, but the backbudding shows promise.
