I wish I had one tree remotely close to this good looking, I'd even settle for half as good as I take another look.
Yeah, I went back and did that again too, so good...Just read the tread, what a treat. Congrats...
No specific plans to show it yet, just need to get it back into a shallower container. The depth requirements are all about the trunk size; it's sitting flat on the bottom of the pot, and it needs just about another 1/2" of pot height for the planting depth to be "right", but I've had no luck yet in finding a 7-7.5cm deep pot.Are you planning on "showing" it this year? You did mention "depth requirements", is this more about the trunk dimensions,(it's a beauty!)? Or is it more a matter of horticultural requirements? With this volume of root growth in a relatively short time, would you look to increase re-pot frequency?
Pool open already?!?! I'm about ready to lace up the Tacks, grab the Sherwood and a puck and go for a twirl.....it was EIGHT DEGREES this morning!!!!
Can't wait to see this tree with some more maturity and awash in blooms!!!
Aren't you at the level of commissioning custom pots?I've had no luck yet in finding a 7-7.5cm deep pot.
Maybe one day I will get to see it in person.
It's so peaceful
@Brian Van Fleet Every time I see this tree from the first time you posted it here (or at least from when I got here in 2008) and on FB the other day I can't help but say it's my favorite tree. It's so peaceful and does what I said on another thread, it transports me. Maybe one day I will get to see it in person. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Last year I was fortunate to meet Brian (so friend and down to Earth) on short notice and view this Hawthorn; it's a really cool tree. Inexperienced and exhausted from my drive, I did not take any good pictures. Perhaps, another day I'll get to see it at a show.@Brian Van Fleet Every time I see this tree from the first time you posted it here (or at least from when I got here in 2008) and on FB the other day I can't help but say it's my favorite tree.
