Colanders ------ the dark and barfaceous side

So we have lined out the growing zone for a few colanders.

But now we are trying to match the colander size to the size of
the container the plant was in.
Saving time for growing in.
Another experiment.

Thus far 3 hardwood cuttings J.B.pine and 2 to come of
the Chlorophora t. , the chlorophora already there since Christmas
is around 2 inches thick in the trunk, and branch placement
has begun.

Now for 3 more ---- 1 is a vine found up at Toco, has purple flowers
and develops a really nice, woody trunk.
Trying for 5 inches as the trunk goes. for a 6 inch flower cone.
So a 30 inch tall effort.

Also got some seed of what is supposed to be Celtis a., but
not sure, probably a hybrid.
So 2 of those for the growing bed [ used to be growing trough ]
See how long a 3 inch trunk takes.

And now for the colander.

The handle is removed and the plastic is covered with soil to
prevent UV decay.
Got these for about 80 cents US

I am having real troubles finding colanders of any size here in NZ.
Does your source supply international?
No worries if not.

Doesn’t every city have a “Chinatown”
Not trying to be racist but no colanders bigger than a small pebble here and as for pond baskets - I build boxes.
Frustrating but hey - living in a land of pumice (volcanos) has a benefit

Hi, yes there are colanders here, but I was hoping I could sauce a macaroni strainer bigger than 1.5 litres lol

Charles. you said it, supplier was a Chinese Grocery.
Trinidad has at least 1 % of the population as Chinese Immigrants
and up to 10 % Chinese born locally or mixes.

So plastic and metals colanders everywhere from 61 cm down to tea strainers
that hold the leaves of green tea for steeping.

Innovate ----------- wire mesh for blocking mosquitoes, and wood if
using for colanders in the open.
Fold into shape [ cut to shape - Origami ] if for ground growing.
I have faith in you.

Or take buckets and pierce as for Air-Pots.
We did it with clay pots.
