The Mellow row is thriving. You can say I inherited the cultivars. Now to keep them healthy and dividing so I can give them forward.
Btw they are right in front of my stairway because it's the only spot with optimum sunlight.

I say now while it is still cool. @Mellow Mullet approves this? When is the right time to prune and shape them in zone 9a?
Did they already bloom at your house? Except for the one pot of Wakaebisu, I have zero flower from the rest and hardly see any flower buds. I'm thinking about pruning them this weekend.Yes, after it finishes blooming, go for it. I have already pruned several of mine.
Thank you.The ones like yours are finishing up. The Kobai are just starting, and the Wakaebisu are still tight.
I saw this thread and wanted to cry.
Sniff...
Barry snuffed most of them. I have 3 trying to come back.Did you lose them all?
A couple got blown away. The rest drowned in salt water from the heavy salt spray. I thought the days long rain afterwards got the salt off but apparently not. So far only 3 of them rebuds after dropping all their leaves. Hard lesson! I should have brought them inside but I had so many other things to tend to and I didn't do it.What happened to them?
