This class is coming up at the National Bonsai and Penjing museum. Sounds like a great time. Five classes and a fall show. They're using "gnome" cultivars of chrysanthemums, which the late great Dale Cochoy used to sell and make bonsai out of.

Assume these chrysanthemums die down at the end of the season like others? Seems like a lot of work that needs to be repeated year after year?

For the bonsai person that doesn't already have enough to do 😂

Not necessarily. Some live for a few years, I think. But,yeah, it's a compressed "bonsai" process from May to November. There is a book "The Art of the Chrysanthemum" by Temeji Nakajima can Carl Young written in the 60's or 70's. I have a copy. It's an interesting read. Worth seeking out if you can.

I have a couple from @Pitoon that I have overwintered inside for two years.
