Thank you!Wow! Incredible! It looks like it must have been in bonsai cultivation a long time.
What kind of pot is it?
Thank you!
The pot is a handmade piece by a Korean artist—it’s from a brand called Hongam.
There are actually quite a few high-quality pots being made in Korea, just as good as the ones from Japan, and they’re often more affordable too. I really hope more people outside Korea get to discover them.
I’ve actually thought about introducing some of these Korean-made pots to people here—what do you think?

There doesn’t seem to be any information in English about Korean bonsai potters, so I think I’ll put together a simple summary myself.Great pot! Is there a resource for Korean potters?
Beautiful specimen. Looking forward to seeing more of your trees!
I believe it would be an awesome idea!
That is a beautiful pot, albeit looks slightly shallow for our normal practice in out yard. Similarly the “Mothers Day” satsuki seems too narrow and shallow for use out back.
The only fly in the ointment will be recent spate of US tariffs, which may kick up the price here. That said, there are many other Satsuki azalea markets in the world that would desire more well done pots.
