Yamadori
I’ve grown a number of Black Cuban chili pepper plants, which form a thick, woody stem and which I’ve kept living for three years previously. They have beautiful black/purple foliage in full sunlight, royal purple flowers, and the peppers change from green to black to red as they ripen.
I’ve seen a couple examples of similar varietals of chilis being formed into a tree shape. Granted, it wouldn’t be a long term project, as it seems most chili plants have a life span of five years at most, but... thoughts on a chili bonsai?
