Looking for seedlings for Carpinus turczaninowii. I've seen "coreana" being sold but can't find "turczaninowii" that I'm looking for. Thanks.

Dirr says these only require 2 months cold stratification. Most Carpinus require warm followed by cold.

Yeah I was stratifying over the past several months but the seeds seem to have mold/decay. Thus, why I'm looking for seedlings rather than than a seeds.

I have an ounce of these seeds, they are maybe 3 years old but have been stored properly. I'm going to plant some but absolutely don't need as much as I have. Let me know if anyone wants some. I know 3 years ago I got some germination, no idea how they would fair now but I'm sure at least some are viable.

ive researched the nomenclature quite a bit, there is no difference between coreana and turczaninowii, any phenotypic differences observed are standard genetic variation within the species......all acer palmatums are acer palmatum, regardless if they are kiyohime or bloodgood.....

Yes, I think Coreana and Turczaninowii are the same thing. It's interesting you see both names being used.

I think that there was a discussion taxonomically, that eventually fell on the "coreana" name somewhat recently, and many believe that they are different
