I have a quick question? When trying to figure the NPK values when making fertilizer cakes do you use zero values for parts that are used that have no NPK value? Like adding lime or flour to the mix. Do you exclude them from the calculation? It seems to me you would just use zero values as they are diluting the mixture, even if they are inert material. I found a post on calculating this stuff a while back but for whatever reason I cannot find that post today??
Example:
This:
Parts N P K
Cottonseed Meal 4 6 1 1
Flour 1 0 0 0
Bone Meal 4 2 14 0
Fish Emulsion 3 5 1 1
12 3.9 5.25 0.58
OR:
Parts N P K
Cottonseed Meal 4 6 1 1
Bone Meal 4 2 14 0
Fish Emulsion 3 5 1 1
11 4.27 5.73 0.64

Bone Meal 4 2 14 0
