Pretty leggy I’ve been told. I’ve been giving it a few hours outside during the day, until the night temps rise more.

Is it advisable to cut most branches back to get more dense foliage (I’ve clipped some already)? My guess is that there won’t be much back budding on the long thin branches. Any tips here on helping this tree thrive?

Wait until the weather warms up and you have this outside growing strong, then cut back hard. You don't want the long, straight bits anyway. If healthy when you cut it will back bud all over. It looks a bit weak right now.
