I moved mid-November all my Kingsville Boxwoods to unheated garage. All of them changed colors to brown. Is it normal?
They were kept all year in semi-shade with perhaps 2 to 3 hours of morning direct sun.
Hope to hear opinions from experienced users. Thanks.

Brown does not sound good but sometimes some leaves will turn bronze this time of year.
Ditto, pix
Agree, mine are keep in full sun and when a frost hits them they can turn a bronze color.

They sit on my bench all year with no protection provided.

Thanks

Being just south of you in Seattle, I have Kingsville in the landscape and in containers. They are in as much sun as I can give them, several hours a day. Those in containers sit outside all year, including winter. I've not ever noticed any color change on that variety

“bronzing” of foliage can happen in sudden or deep freezes. It’s not a huge deal. Pics would help

My current Kingsville Boxwoods have never been exposed to frost and have been kept in a cold greenhouse in fall but still turn bronze which i attributed the Fall Sun along with cold temps.
I've been keeping mine in partial shade in Summer the last few years and they have not turned bronze since and seem much happier. I also keep them in my attic now in a window overwinter @ mid 30 s to mid 40 s since I lost a few in my greenhouse a couple Winters ago with a 2 day cold snap @ -9f after a warm period. My other Boxwoods I just leave out or in the cold greenhouse for winter without issue.

Kingsville do just fine outside in winter in zone 7-6. I’ve found bringing them inside for the winter doesn’t do much good. I leave them out with pots/roots under some mulch in the garden. Snow cover really keeps them well and out of the wind. Prevents bronzing as well.
