So what did the ancient bonsai forefathers use for soil mixtures, was it a type of akadama, I am sure there were debates then also on bonsai techniques and without yet seeing or reading the “ Bonsai Heresy” book there must be very useful ideas for us modern enthusiasts just as there is in John Yoshio Naka’s books from 1973. This ancient art has and always will have adherents that put forth their learned experiences for us to glean accumulated knowledge from. I think I will add this text to my reading.
