An Oregon junco is nesting in a Doug fir in my green house. She dug out a deep cavity (killing the roots on that side) and made a fine nest which has one egg so far. I will post updates this month.

A little annoying as I have to carefully water when she is not around, but she was here first.

Oregon junco
Thanks, I've been trying to figure out what these are called for so long. Oregon subspecies of Dark-eyed Junco, technically. Whenever I've tried to ID them, the thumbnail for their entry is the slate-colored morph, which I've never actually seen.

Ohh what a cool story, nice one, keep us posted, i want to see them flying :)
We had a woodland pigeons nest in our fir on some stage, it was so cool to see them teach the young ones to fly.
Set up some camera if you have....
