Black pine needles on trunk?

Hello! I have an Austrian black pine I’ve shared before, but this is kind of general. For pines, should you remove pines growing on the actual trunk? Mine does have needles going up all, and on mature trees u don’t see needles on the trunk. Is it recommended to remove “trunk needles”?

They should fall off by themselves eventually, most needles don't get older than 3 years.
