Does anyone know anything about Bill Valvanis? I ordered 2 books from him on 12/28 but have neither received them nor a notice they have been shipped. I received no response to an email and a phone call. can't understand it.

Bill is a very big name in NA bonsai. He runs the US nationals every two years and published International BONSAI. He’s definitely not someone random. I’d maybe give it a week or two since things tend to be slow after new years and I’m not sure whether he personally handles book orders or not.

It’s obviously slow to confirm the order, but I wouldn’t necessarily be worried.

2 weeks is a while but you're not ordering from Amazon. From what I recall there was some communication issues with the last show as well, but all came through in the end. I wouldn't worry too much, but others may have more insight.

Mr. Valavanis is a respected figure in the bonsai community — and one of the senior artists in the US. He sells a lot of great material online, too. Just be patient. Not everyone sends shipping confirmation. If there’s an issue, reach out again.

Bill has about the cleanest reputation of anyone in bonsai. HOWEVER he is a very busy guy - traveling extensively, attending shows, printing books, etc. I'm not close, but I have known him for 30 years. I am sure it's just a communication lag issue. I saw him at the Winter Show last month in Charlotte - so he is definitely still around.
