This pine had one or two tickets for the Mugo-train all ready, but I decided it deserved it's own thread.
I dug it from the garden of my mother in law in April 2013. I planted it in a hastily timbered box.
Did not look much like bonsai then

It took 3 or 4 years, before I could cut of the long branches, because the tree had since become somewhat more compact. I finally began to see something of a bonsai in it.
t
during the winter 2017-2018 my teacher put the branches with guy wires in place.
This picture is from summer 2018

All new shoots were pruned back to a few needles, which resulted in very exuberant backbudding.
This spring it was time to repot, that is, get it out of its crate, into a bonsaipot.
With my teacher staying in contact using WhatsApp and phone I combed out the roots, removed as much garden soil as I dared and repotted in a plastic bonsaipot, halve the size of the crate it was in for six years.
It's now in fired Akadama, pumice and lava. I'm happy with the result for now. And I'm confident I didn't kill it... will know in a couple of weeks!
Here it is in its new home. Last picture is front.
