Started back budding within a month

Growing in nicely, looking back they didn’t need to be covered.

Next season, heading into dormancy

Next up is selecting a leader, carving for taper and wiring.

I’ve decided on an upright style for this tree so my plan is to wire the branches downward like a redwood.
