Where are all my L.A. people? Sorry if I’ve asked this before. I never came to any conclusions.
Would a yew (taxus baccata) do ok in Southern California? Garden sunset zone 22 or 21. I did find this which gives me a little hope. I’ve also heard that they are used extensively in the landscape in Las Vegas. Not sure if the lack of cold is a no go in LA. I’ve also read that there are Yews in Sardinia Italy, which i would think has a similar climate. I’m just trying to put the pieces together.

thank you

I was going to say yes, obviously. Then I re-read it.

Short answer is this, I have no business answering this question. Never physically been there.

About as many as there are rainy days!

I can half appreciate coveting yew up here, but they ain't even that special.

You can find a Juniper in LA with better foliage and red bark.

Then again....if a Fern grows in LA....

Sorce
