Hi there,
Over the last week or so my deshojo has taken a bad turn and my redwood is now also looking discolored. I have a few theories but I'm new to this so not sure. If anyone could help would be much appreciated. They are in partial sun max three hours of direct sun throughout the day. Not that we have had much sun lately.
Firstly as shown in one of the photos I'm holding a leaf from a Bush that my Bonsais are underneath. It has some sort of disease. The maple and Dawn get dripped on when it rains and the last couple of weeks we've had a lot. But my spruce, chinese elm and Azalea are also sat underneath this Bush and seam to be doing fine with plenty of new growth. granted the latter trees are situated a little further from the Bush so don't receive nearly as much drippage but still a little.
Secondly we have had a lot of rain and some strong winds the last couple of weeks which may have something to do with it, but I dont think that would cause the discolouration of the redwood leaf?
Third I upped the feed to full dose from half dose a few weeks ago and started feeding once a week. I read that maples like to be fed so didn't think it would be an issue. They were last fed one week ago. They were due a feed today but I've held back for now.
Should I spray all my bonsai with something? If so what? Homemade spray with milk? Anti fungal spray? Should I move into shade/inside for a while? Should I keep the maple and redwood far away from all other bonsai?
P.S they are no longer underneath said diseased bush.
If anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated as I feel I may have lost the deshojo and don't wanna lose the Redwood or any others.
Many thanks,
Ben
