Hello everyone.
I've had this Japanese maple for about 5 years now. All of a sudden this summer I noticed that the apex started dying. It wasn't due for a repot until next spring so I don't understand why this is happening.
I've heard of some JPM having die back issues, but I believe there's gotta be a reason.
My question is will the dieback continue until it kills the tree? I see it advancing past the following node.
See where I'm pointing with my finger. It had already lost about 3" of apex and doesn't appear to be stopping.
Any suggestions?
