Anyone ever see mold form around organic fert pellets after application to topsoil?

I bought this Japanese brand organic fertilizer that's in pellet form, and went through last summer perfectly fine without anything weird going on. I included a picture of the brand and contents below. Has anyone ever used this brand? I just losely spread them out on the surface of the soil and water as normal. Is that the right thing to do? Or should I be containing them in the little fertilizer cages or whatever you call em?

Now that it's winter, my tropicals are indoors, in a Vivosun grow tent that mimics the summer weather almost perfectly. Two 600w LEDS, fans and humidifier set to 75~80%. I'm thinking that the humidifier is pretty much the reason that this white, fuzzy mold has formed around most of the fert pellets.

I'm just surprised, being that during the hot and humid summer days 6 months ago, I never had this problem.

Has anyone ever experienced this same fuzz fest? I appreciate any help with this...

PS: I started to pick out the pellets from the surface to trash em, but decided to snap a couple pics real quick, so in the pictures, the pellets are laying losely on top of the soil. Kind of hard to see some of the mold but it's for sure noticeable here n there.

I have not used these particular pellets before,

Now I may be wrong here, but I often get fuzz like this on naruko, I always believed it was beneficial,

So the fuzz breaks down the pellets and their nutrients into the soil where it becomes available to the tree.

Pellets fuzz up outdoors here quite well, so I'm not sure why you didn't have that outdoors,

A lot of people here in the UK are dissolving these pellet forms in water and pouring into soil after diluting

Peter Warren suggested this method as he says we do not have high humidity like they do in Japan which makes using pelleted fertilisers difficult and/or less effective here

Wouldn’t worry about it. Perfectly normal and harmless. As mentioned the mold can help break down the pellet into a form more readily useable by the plant

All the time, it’s breaking down just like it should. I’m only concerned when/if I see green or black slime.

If the mold is on the fertilizer, that's fine and is actually to be expected. If the mold is growing on your tree, that is not OK. Usually it is an indicator that part of your tree is dead... you just didn't know it.
