Any good bonsai scissor or blade sharpening techniques ? I have a small sharpening stone can be used with water or oil.. and also my Kaneshin scissors are a bit loose. Anyone have tips on how to tighten it back up. ?
This is what I use for my concave cutters. Use a black sharpie and make the edge black, that way you can see what you are removing helping you stay true to the edge already there. My American Bonsai concave cutters came with an uneven and rough edge. I was able to get them razor sharp.Still haven't figured out a great way for concave cutters.
PerfectI interviewed a guy in our local club who is an expert in sharpening tools and wrote it up here. May be helpful on selecting stones, etc. Once you have the tools, seems like it’s a matter of practice to get consistent.

A friend who has been sharpening tools for a very long time; to near obsession (which is a very good quality), offered to give me a lesson and some pointers on the art of sharpening knives and scis…nebaribonsai.wordpress.com
