Hello! I did some styling of another nursery stock piece. Like I posted for my last one, I appreciated the thoughts and future ideas so i thought I’d seek the same for this one.

Not really sure what to do with the top, or if I keep it as such, but now it’s just a branch sticking straight up. I figured I’d let it survive through this initial styling and see if it fills out etc and style from there as I don’t really know the ultimate design and branch placement.

Thanks!

Given the height, apply wire in the Fall and let the tree grow for a few years (removing and adding wire at appropriate times) allowing the trunk to grow and thicken while the branching elongates and foliage multiplies. Once you have the trunk established with decent taper (and turns, twists, etc. from shaping), then work on primary secondary branch placement (outside of curves/bends).

Heavy fertilizer, lots of sun, and proper water.
