Hey,
Just documenting my first American larch (Tamarack) progression.
Bought from the flower market in Michigan in November of 2021. Replanted from a pond basket this spring into a pot from a small potter out of Virginia. Attached photos are pre-trim and pre-repot.
Goals for the tree:
Get better at wiring to build better separate pads
Building a better apex and overall branch density overall
Balance the weight of the few branches higher on the tree
Build a better nebari (root structure is already very flat just needs a bit more interest on the surface)
Any suggestions recommendations or comments are highly encouraged. I am still learning and would love to learn and discuss.
