Nice starting material. The jane kluis variety has some more brittle wood than the regular version, so when bending that is something to keep in mind; stop if you hear a crack.
As for starting, right now it's dormant season. When that ends in early spring, you can think about repotting and sorting out the roots. Make sure you don't cut anything, but do align them in a circle if you can. Not cutting means a faster rebound, and addressing the root base early on will set you up for a nice nebari.
Get a good bonsai soil and a lower pot before you start.
From there on forward, you check how it behaves. If it performs well in the spring and summer, you can start thinking of wiring in fall.
Nothing on this plant will cause any issues in the near (3 year) future, so I want to advise to keep everything on there. Lets say a branch is accidentally knocked off or wilts after the repot, then there's another to fall back to. If they're gone, that isn't an option anymore.
Good luck!
