Acer campastre fusion...

Done. There's some space in between them, but these things grow and thicken so fast I imagine they should almost be touching by fall.20170228_123113.jpg
5 inches at the base and 22 inches tall. Hopefully this works well, if not I can grow these things from seed all day long.

Really irritated I can't seem to find the website for this fella. Was cleaning up my photos...deleting ones and such. Stumbled upon this guy. This guy I wanted to find his website...but have yet to stumble upon it again.

Was sure we had a post thread on this guys site.

I believe this article is of the one the photos are of I shared earlier. The link offered to the individual is also of the second link below it as well.

I keep finding sites with links to a site which is no longer operating. Though this one offers up a given name the one went under and contact info. Sad to see the original site down...and the photos removed from this site. I happened to save the photos because I was intrigued.

well damn!

I did a engine search here...Dugzbonsai and his link continues to pop up. He used to sell on eBay under the name Dougdog it appears. But he seems to have disappeared. His photos most are gone off of the sites I found. But...it's an interesting concept. Growing in a grow box is surely a quicker way to thicken and see your fusion happen sooner.

Small world...just seen on Facebook.
Doug Philips doing a demonstration of how he constructs one of his fused trunk trident maples for the Indianapolis Bonsai Club last night.

 Glad to see he is still around...even if he website isn't. I posted to the post. Who knows...maybe he has a new site we are unfamiliar with and can't find. But it's good to see he's still doing what he loves to do, and teaching others as well. Took one of the photos since its on a social site to share...the trees are unique that is for sure.
