A shout out to Owen Reich and Hidden Gardens in IL for a great workshop!

We drove to Chicago this past weekend for a workshop. @Owen Reich was very helpful and knowledgeable and Hidden Gardens was a really nice venue. Thanks @sorce for telling me about Owen. Lots of yamadori material, pots, supplies, etc were available at Hidden Gardens and the owner, Jeff, was very nice and welcoming. All in all a very nice experience!

We actually met at either the Grand Rapids or the Royal Oaks bonsai shows a couple years ago. I was hanging with Mike Frary. But you probably didn't connect me with "BNut Leo", you made a good impression, I'm looking forward to meeting again. LOL

Glad you two could make it and nice photos of event! I may use a few if that’s alright. Hidden Gardens is a resource that will only get better over the years. Jeff Shultz, the owner, is great. So many collected conifers. Left with a few new deciduous trees collected by Matt Turner, who also works at Hidden Gardens.

Absolutely. I have a lot more pics too if you want I can email to you or whatsapp or whatever. Use as you want! Working on the honeysuckle was fun!
