A Short Video from the 4th US National Bonsai Exhibition...

I love the look of that pot Bill! The gold sealing the crack appears to be an intentional design feature and really sets it off against the dark color of the pot...

Great tree too!

Thanks for the vid John! Loved seeing all those tree! The cascade were the most interesting ones to me I think, which is odd because normally I am more interested in upright styles... But I saw two JBP, and that Colorado blue Spruce that were... Just... Spectacular! Especially the Blue Spruce! Maybe I like them because of the color of the foliage, the tight growth... Or maybe just because they won't do well around here... But that was such a beautiful tree!

Thanks for giving us a taste, and thanks Bill for chiming in to show us the pot/ tree he mentioned! This show is an event I will have to make an effort to attend on day.

Thanks to Bill for suggesting I create this video and share with bonsai community. I hope that some of us will purchase the Commemorative Album to help him offset costs and bring a 5th US National Event in the future.

thanks for taking and sharing the video of the exhibit. reminds me of the first all european show years ago (gingko?). I bought the paperback exhibit book. the trees the first year were pretty crude. by the third year, the quality had taken a huge jump upward - so much so, IMO, that I thought the degree of improvement was remarkable. same thing is happening in America, thanks to Bill's willingness to stage something that'd never been done in our country. each year the quality of the exhibit gets better and better. why? bill has provided the incentive for excellence.

best wishes, sam
