This is fairly subjective, but I'm curious how hard-and-fast the rule is about conifers going exclusively into unglazed pots. I have a wee Blue Atlas Cedar I obtained last year and it's just starting to pop, seems healthy, and I'd like to get it potted up. I have two options: a light colored unglazed pot, and a glazed pot that's very similar in color to the foliage (also a tiny bit shorter).
I'll admit to being a child of the eighties, so for one, I like me some seafoam/teal colors and for two, I can get with some matchy-matchy.
That said, I've heard it asserted many and many a time that glazed and colored pots are reserved for non-conifers - even setting that aside, there IS a risk that the foliage would just blend into the pot visually, muddling the view. I figured I'd get some informed opinions (gut reactions also welcome) just to see if it helps me make up my mind.

Thanks for any input!
