Started from a cutting at the club back then It was a fine cascade and I nearly killed it a few years ago repotting and leaving in full sun without much water for days. Dumb as it sounds I did it.
Thought it was gone.....
Yet 2 years later it sprouted a few live buds and today I repotted it into a cascade container of my own make....
Needless to say I'm thinking this girl has a long future ahead!

Thanks for posting this! My first bonsai is a Natal plum I bought in 1975 as a one gallon untrained nursery plant. Somehow it survived many near-death experiences in my decades of ignorance. It is starting year 3 of a reduction and renewal process, and will get another major pruning in late spring.

Glad it survived. It doesn't seem like a lot of people have them. Not sure why, they grow like crazy and flowers smell great. That reminds me, mine needs a good trimming.

Have let her grow out and will later this Fall trim and wire her into a better looking form of cascade.

I like it. How do you get small leaves on this one?

in answering bathe “smaller leaves” sun light . Direct sun will usually create smaller leaves and just the opposite for shade.

Yet I have not treated it in any way and I’m not sure that deadwood on this style and plant specie is visually pleasing. It was left on simply as I “ just didn’t chop it off!” Hah!

I plan to recreate the cascade again and eventually and repot to the similar in the first photo.

Thanks for your likes etc…
