Fairly new to bonsai. About 5 or 6 years. I lost everything decent so far from over working. The ginsing ficus was from Walmart 6 years old, probably the best I have. Oak, maple, desert rose all from seed 3 to 5 years.

Lmk what you think or any suggestions on any of the plants .

Im in myrtle beach sc. It's getting quite hot. Upper 80s low 90s. Is it too late to do some root work to my ficus or should i just slip pot?. They're both pretty pot bound but the willow leaf is struggling/having an extremely slow start due to neglect over winter. Any suggestions appreciated.

Ficus, like many other tropicals, prefer to be repotted in the heat of summer. I will be starting on mine in 2 or 3 weeks.
Don't worry about the Willow Leaf, they are slow to get going in the spring. Mine just kicked into high gear.

Good to know about it being slow to get started. Could I prune it back heavy at this point to get it a bit more compact the branches are toothpick thick and only two leaves at the tips
