5 yr. native tree challenge -Jason's acacia nigrescens air layer

a month in to this air layer and the tree hasn't skipped a beat...
gonna have nice mature bark from the get go - hopefully a cool flat top in 5 years...

nice, we don't see that many true acacia in usa

airlayer failed spectacularly but cut the tree way back and repotted into a smaller pot...

You have any Dovyalis cafra? its a very cool south african species for bonsai!!

i have one but it does nothing year after year...
more suited for a hedge in my opinion...
definitely not one of our best bonsai species.
