I wasn’t even LOOKING for any trees! THEY FIND ME, I swear!
I noticed this White Spruce, with rootmass disturbed by recent trail “clearing”.. The girthy base and low/multiple branching options drew me to it, instantly.... i ended up cracking the top pretty good when the ol’ honda hatch slammed shut.. but i RE-injured it in a more attractive way.
I barely needed to use my spade, David, at ALL.
I guess THIS will be my last consideration as I am STILL DONE “seeking trees” this year... this one “sought” me!
No real design ideas in place.. just focusing on recovery.. but I DO, DEFINITELY have some ideas.

I had contacted the manager of THIS particular property in the late winter.. his words to me were, “Unless it’s significantly bigger than YOU, don’t bother me with it.”
Thanks, bud.
