After seeing the 6 year JBP from seed contest end, I immediately thought,
"OK, I've learnt a lot, I can do better, let's go again!".

But now I can't help wondering, how many people had trees in the game but didn't quite "Get there". I for one haven't even done a first proper trunk chop, and I know my trees have a lot to offer yet.

If not a competition, I would at least like to propose a kind of "Reunion". A target date is useful, maybe at 10 years? 15? What do you think?

If you were in, perhaps say if you'd be interested.

Long term development threads are really good. Unfortunately many members fall by the wayside over the years so the number posting is likely to dwindle.
I still have a few entries from the comp but they had a rough time this year and none really ready for a pot so I did not post a final entry. I will keep developing some of them but space constraints means I'm always looking to cull any that are not looking like possible top class trees. Some more may have to go in the next few years.

I will definitely post updates on my trees... but I have no desire to commit to another contest at this point. However I might feel differently in five more years. I'll keep an eye on things and if in a couple of years there are enough active threads and interest, I can test the waters about a 10 or 12 year contest update

Also - @Shibui and anyone else south of the equator still have six months to work on their trees for the "Southern Division". The fact that @Ryceman3 decided to enter his tree early does not mean we aren't going to give our southern friends time to finish.
