These two cuttings are from a benjamina variety of some sort. At first I had them in the same pot, they were the same size at first but one grew much quicker. I took the smaller one out first. Eventually I took the big one out and put it on a rock. They were the only two trees that had any effect from tropical storm Eta. The small one got knock over by a Gumbo Limbo. The big one blew off of its cinder block. I had to pick it off of the ground to stop the escape root. The small one got a new pot the day after Eta. Today I cut the big ones pot down a bit. If it doesn’t look good on the rock it will have a nice root spread.

looks good. I have a few air layered ficus plants but have never got a cutting to root.

Thanks. I’m really surprised how big the roots got in such a short period. I’m thinking it might overwhelm the rock too soon.

I am sure the warm, humid weather helps with the cuttings.

All these are from May 2nd. The big cutting was on a rock. I was getting the idea it was going to look like lumpy potato roots on a rock and it did. So I took it off of the rock

The one kept in small pots. I may repot it into a slightly deeper pot to allow it to regain health.

You have so many happy ficus trees! These are really nice. I'm a big fan of the wedge cut tree and the cutting!
