Last year I collected two procumbens which were growing at a customer's house and which needed to be removed.

This was the smaller one, a simple rooted branch from the main meandering plant which covered about an 4 x 12ft area.

I waited to make sure it made it through collection to make a thread for it.

Photos of the original when collected.

Hopefully after pounding with fertilizer this year, I can get a good wiring in late summer. Maybe Ill ground grow it for a few years once the main trunk shape is set.

Today gave this a bit of a prune as it was growing well, thinned it out to let light and air into the tree. Removed some unnecessary leggy branches.

Still undecided on the final style but I intend to wire this in fall.

Took some cuttings also for the hell of it. Can never have too many procumbens right?
