1000 messages

I'm very happy to celebrate my first 1000 messages here.
In the last 5 years this forum has been the way I've used to grow as a beginner practitioner and I'm very grateful to all forum members for their direct, and indirect help through their posts. Thank you very much.

I would like to share with you one of my proudest achievements:

Five years ago, I bought this overgrown and forgotten tree from a nursery. One of my first posts here, was to find out the name of the species , wich turned out to be Chamaecyparis thyoides "red star"



A year later, with the (intelectual) help of the forum I had repoted it, given it some shape, and with the resulting cuttings, I had obtained some rooted cuttings:



and today: (after your help to overcome a fungus crisis)



I think this is not only my achivement, but the forum as well.

I think we both started out around the same time, but your collection is magnificent compared to mine. The amount of growth and development I see in your trees in such a short amount of time is incredible!

I'm so happy you were able to get past the diseases last year, as I remember you were close to quitting. Keep going... your skills and your trees will only get better with time!
