It's been 5 years since first sighting in my area every year there are fewer. This year I only seen a hand full and I spray them with Sevin also a salt gun takes care of them!. I haven't noticed any damage to my trees. there egg sacks look like a smear of mud.

Potted azaleas do not like 90+degrees and full sun. my yard is shaded by 2pm. Once they start blooming keep out of sun and rain the flowers last a lot longer.

I spray them with Sevin best to get them when they first hatch (Black with white dots). They seam to be less every year.

Couple of tips. you have 3 shoots growing in one spot cut off the long one and trim the others back to 6-8 needle bunches you have leggy Branches. if you have 1 long and 1 short cut back to make them even. If you have flowers (Purple buds) make sure you trim leaving some needles on past the...
