Just got my first seiju elm from club sale growth is farther from the trunk then I care for. Wondering how to encourage growth closer to the trunk.

How late in the year is it safe to top Bald Cypress. Picked up a nice tree yesterday in nursery pot would like to cut down now but not sure on timing. Doing it now would make it easier to move and store this winter.

Just picked a boxwood from local nursery has roots growing out the bottom of pot. Wondering if to late in year to repot or if it can be successful if done now Had to cut roots growing into ground to take home but looking for any help.

I picked up a hornbeam taller then what I want for a bonsai given trunk width. What’s the best way to reduce height so far I have been reducing growth in top trying to force growth down into trunk and branches. Not sure this is best direction to go and looking for input. Thanks for any input

Found a deal got a nice cork bark elm and trident maple and just to round out the group a Korean hornbeam. Plan on leaving in grow pots till next spring but wondering on what work can be done between then and now. First real venture into desidionous and a little overwhelmed. Thanks for all input.

We stopped in yesterday has a lot of big Junipers in now at decent prices. Picked one up over 3' across. Hope this helps anyone who's looking in the S. East. Tough to find good material in this area.
