    @Cosmos pine is a real beauty, and both of us will have a blast learning all the nuances of JBP development, and refinement. I picked up a nice big trunk just like his, the week before. So we will be able to have the trees exactly in the same stage, a cool way to share our adventure.

    Our greatest supplier of quality prebonsai in my area does exactly like you Frank. All container grown, and all in mixed substrates for optimum health. He produces huge amounts of material, and has no difficulty getting good trunk development.

    I just signed up for my free trial week with Mirai, and I am quite impressed with the quality instruction. I find Ryan has done a great job documenting all the different types of seasonal work, and has it organized so you can search by tree type, or season. Pretty cool resource.
