Nope. This tree was originally collected by someoneFound this literati pitch pine thread from 2020 by accident. Is this by any chance the same tree?
Yeah I gotta rewire upper part we’ll seeDropping branch; any chance you would drop straight down instead of current angle and add bend to upper straight section of it?
Yes the treee was repotted I need it to regain strength and vigor before I get rid of more foliage and wire . Literati needs to grow too , a trees image and design so never static , there is ebb and flow of foliage to allow for recovery and strength before more workPersonal opinion. Way too much foliage for Literati or skinny trunk. Two dropping branches?? Rt one is better so remove left one. Thin and compact upper foliage branch mass to match trunk size. You should be much happier with end result. Making Literati can mean brutal pruning some times.![]()
Thanks might not be till next year I need to make sure this tree is ready for what I’m gonna do ..Looking good, will look awesome once you wire it again!
What is that chunky pine to the right of the literati on your bench? That one looks like a sweet tree too lol
That's kind of a yes and no with literati as fewer roots can only support so much foliage and vica versa. Too few roots for your foliage and some or all will be weakened or die off. This is the trade off with tiny pots and few roots.Yes the treee was repotted I need it to regain strength and vigor before I get rid of more foliage and wire .
