    These are museum quality trees--I think I've seen 4 of the 5 at workshops, You can only guess at their stellar quality in the pictures. Maybe Bob will post how they travel to workshops!

    Is this a defense resin on my buds, or am I dealing with insect secretions? 2 needle pines affected

    Buds on RAF scots, Spanish scots pine old lodgepole, 2 JBP shohin that were not de-candled this year, old jack pine, old limber pine, and 2 varieties of JWP all have buds exuding sap. Spike in temps, lots of sun and humidity plus a fert. application have produced an abundance of sap. I'm...

    Super healthy tree moving lots of sap at this time of year.

    I've seen these trees and all are magnificent. One is heading to the Nationals this year [Bob is much too modest to tell you that] And Bob has made the pots for at least 2 of these trees. Well done Bob!

    Our own Pitoon

    Went to MABS--Mid-Atlantic Bonsai--this past weekend. Handsome exhibit trees and a very nice vendor area. Pitoon was there with his perfect, jewel-like mame pots. Beautiful glazes, impeccable proportions, lovely feet. And beautiful hand made boxes for the pots. Not everyone has mame-sized trees...
