Re: trunk chop, root work: when do you find the right time is for Bald Cypress / Dawn Redwood? I see foliage has pushed here. I have several dawns in my yard (not for bonsai) but also am hoping to obtain some material from nursery stock that is more mature. Zone 6a so foliage is just now starting to push here; would this still be a time to work material or wait?
