Hi was wondering if you could answer a couple of questions about cotoneaster as bonsai. I have about 5 or six in training. They didn't take to kindly to begin separated from their neglected nursery pots that has 75% of the soil washed out over the years but did put a little growth but a got massive die back before a very weak summer of growth. They all seemed to struggle once separate and put into shallow bonsai training pots. Do you have any suggestions as how to revive them this coming spring? Btw most have completely dropped 95 percent of their leaves should I be worried? The one I pick up at a big box store did extremely well after the re-pot.. but I also didn't have to Separate them. That one I'm attempting to trian into a rap around cascade.
