I'm really looking forward to the show tomorrow. Although I've been into bonsai for quite a while now, I haven't been to an event since the one in Grand Rapids back in 2013, which inspired me to get into the game. For the people who go to this one every year, what are the "don't wanna miss" events? I saw the general hours and a list of festivities, but no specific times for the demos and such.

Beats me what events there will be.
You would think I would know.
I did bring a wild caught Jack pine I think I'm going to turn John Wall loose on for an initial styling.
That is if I don't sell it.
Just setting up I've had a few guys looking at it pretty hard.
The highlight of the show for me is already there.

I got the honor of working on it today.
Just tweezing dead needles off of the substrate but for me it was an honor.
Also for me,this is the best example of a bonsai to be found anywhere. My favorite tree ever.
All of the cool trees Vance has posted here will be there.
He has 9 in the show.

you too. There were some amazing trees on display. Thanks again for your advice on my baby pines:)
I like to help when I can.
We get to answer lots of pine questions for people at the show.
Whenever someone puts a question to about pines to other members they almost invariably send them to the back to the guys sitting with all of the pines.
Vance usually gets most but I get my share when he isn't there.
Him and actually make a great team.
Mainly because he's awesome and my back is stronger.

I most certainly relied on the strength of that back this year due to an injury I endured back in Janurary. Mike made himself more than useful and a good friend.

You my friend are the main reason I come to the show.
I don't mind helping at all.
You're teaching me tons, even if I'm not asking questions much anymore I still learn something every time I'm around you.
Moving and lifting things is what I'm built for.
And the education in bonsai far outweighs what little work I have done.
It isn't really work if you enjoy it.

Anyone got other pics of the trees in the show?

I was VERY impressed by the trees you had on display. I was going to say so in person, but a bunch of folks already had you cornered when I was there. I particularly liked the juniper right by the entrance. Fantastic work!!
