Post Your Invasives!

It's becoming less and less illegal in a lot of places nowadays.
True that.. On a state level anyway... Still mad at my parent's generation! They shoulda had that shit legalized 15-20 years ago! Now it is left up to my generation and we are only capable of one thing: DISAGREEING with each other while making a big deal out of BS that doesn't matter! Guess that is better than the millennials.... They seem to only be capab.... Wait, I got a tweet, what were we saying? OMG, LOL, JK, STFU!
SMDH...

I diddnt have a pot ready for it so I stuck it in the ground. It's hard to tell but it put in a ton of growth. I'll be ready for it 2017... chop, repot, angle change, wire, show the nice nebari,

Parthenocissus quinquefolia 'Virginia creeper'

Collected about a year and a half ago I initially was going to make a semi-cascade out of it. However, after careful consideration I felt it just looked too unnatural. So this spring it went upright and the result is much improved.

Firstly, my condolences.

Secondly, I would like to contribute, but we don't really have i nvasive trees, maybe weed trees.
So here is one from seedling, and has been further multiplied through cuttings.
Fustic - Chlorophora t.

Thus far we haven't found any others that can do this.
Good Day

You guys dont have invasives? You oughta see the f ben attacking the palmoil palms here! Plus there are tons of imported trees and plants here that go crazy. Im surprised you dont have so many...

Eric,

Ficus b., just doesn't do anything down here, or any of the other Ficus varieties.
Some that could have been invasive ended up as food for the Bachacs [ leaf cutting ants ]
Can't give any other explanation.

Good to see you around.
Good Day

I threw a few wild grape(?) on my dump pile earlier this spring to see how they transplant. This one is growing well enough to consider potting it. The woods/lots are full of this around here, some 4-6" diameter, so it might be worth collecting a large one.Grape.jpg
I also collected some oriental bittersweet vine, but its just a stick in a pot now. My wife loves the berries.

These are both seriously invasive around these parts.

Apparently Google informed me that my privets are invasive as well. Told you guys this thread was my jam here's a invasive privet and weedIMG_20160816_123206082.jpgsome others I collected this year. I like the trunks but they need some branch development thoughIMG_20160816_123015330.jpgand then there's this guy. Mostly let it grow to gain some branch girth but I've pulled some of them down so the lay flatter, kind of an experiment I expect it to start looking a lot better next seasonIMG_20160816_123902008.jpg

I also like to collect whatever is growing around my house! I collected this last fall and it has grown like a weed (haha). Anybody have an idea what it is?

Box elder seedlings and poison ivy look alot alike. Quick ID tip - box elder, like all maples, have opposite buds. Poison ivy has alternate.

Ive been touching it over a year now.... either it's a box elder, or I'm not allergic to poison ivy

If it were poison anything, it would be Poison Oak. Poison Ivy leaves come to a pronounced point on the end.
