It is a dwarf rhododendron and it’s gone already. Is that an azalea in the first set of photos? If so do you happen to know what kind?
I had a really nice trunk once then it decided to kill the apex and there wasnt anything left to build a tree out ofThe only time I seem to loose a branch is when I trim it to hard or bend it too far. Trimming in the early spring always equals extreme dieback for me as well.
Yeah, that’s a bummer. Took a foot off the top of a 3 foot tree and it died back to 3 inches. Luckily a bud popped and I’ve been trying to make something out of it the last couple years. It’s not a maple no choppy choppy in spring.I had a really nice trunk once then it decided to kill the apex and there wasnt anything left to build a tree out of
The thing about years of hard work is the experience of collecting, growing, propagating and experimenting with trees allows me to collect larger material from the mountains. I figure this is a perfect opportunity to downsize and then collect some more “real” trees when I settle down.Sad to see you wanting to part with years of hardwork and sacrifice. Everything will be alright soon enough.
Tons! Lolany trees left?
Sure don’t,Got any itoigawa or Jbp?
Yea, best to use better heads when yours is full of strife pal, good luck bro. It’s cool, probably need that right now anyway.
Isn’t that the way it always goes. My love for trees doesn’t end because my current situation does. LolLol, need to get of my trees, then goes collecting.
I love that. What kind of $ are we talking to ship that to CA?Sure surprised no one wanted this beauty. But I get it, not traditional, just a mushroom in a pot really but when it flowers it definitely makes me smile. I’ll be updating pics of everything I have left and maybe some new ones. Found a spot with a ton of quality red alders I’m going to collect…..View attachment 533531
